Description
A major factor limiting the universal use of low cost and light weight ROVs is that they are inherently unstable in even mildly turbulent water. An unsteady video picture makes it difficult to pilot the vehicle and impossible to record good quality images.
VideoSteady is a small vehicle video stabilisation system. Developed in association with SeeByte, it is the very latest in video stabilisation software. VideoSteady is able to stabilise ROV and AUV video in all axes either in real time or as a post processing tool which is particularly relevant for AUVs.
This technology also has many other uses on moving platforms that are susceptible to low frequency oscillations whether above or below the water line.
The system may be delivered either as a software package or supplied in a compact interface unit to suit the customer's requirements.
