The Tritech SeaKing AUV / ROV Side Scan Sonar System is an extremely compact and cost effective high definition side scan sonar designed for a wide range of ROV seabed survey and inspection duties.
The SeaKing AUV / ROV Side Scan Sonar is supplied as separate transducers and an electronics module for integration into ROV and AUV underwater systems.
In common with all Tritech sonars, the SeaKing AUV / ROV Side Scan Sonar may be connected to a Seanet SCU surface control unit, or most laptops and PC's. In addition to the display of side scan sonar data, the system will take postion input from DGPS. This information is recorded with the side scan sonars data to allow a 'fix' of a target.
The SeaKing communications protocol allows it to be operated with other Tritech SeaKing underwater sensors, such as obstacle avoidance sonars, seabed profilers and bathymetry systems over a single communications link.
